We recently stayed at a motel located next to a busy road south in the South Island. Despite the noise, the location was convenient for attending the South Island Masters Games. The room itself was acceptable for the price, with a clean bathroom and spacious layout. The service was friendly and the owner/manager was accommodating. We appreciated the free internet and the affordable cost of the stay. It was a great base for our activities.

The furniture, including the couch and dining table chairs, had noticeable stains which made us uncomfortable. The overall cleanliness of the premises, including the carpet and pool, left much to be desired.

We stayed at a budget hotel during New Year's Eve and were offered two complementary drinks upon arrival, which was a great touch. The BBQ area was also a nice touch, even though we didn't get a chance to use it. Additionally, the picnic tables and fruit plants outside provided a unique and enjoyable experience for the kids.

The manager was super friendly and helpful. The pool being open till late was terrific on hot nights. Loved the milk being in a glass bottle and the wee picnic table area behind the unit, great for drying togs. The staff were brilliant, positive, and welcoming with great attitudes. The price was correct. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Great location in Richmond, off the main road. Really close to the main street. Great hospitality from the owners and staff, necessary items in the apartment to cook and enjoy dinner at the motel. Pool and BBQ areas are a plus, especially when traveling with kids. The location is very convenient, with shops and restaurants nearby. It is close to everything Richmond has to offer and the Richmond township. The room is clean and tidy, with a comfortable bed. Some rooms even have a small pool. The staff are friendly and helpful.

The traffic noise can be quite loud and disturbing, especially for light sleepers.
